Case Study: Producing a Global Event Series for SALT

How Choyce Creative became the production partner behind one of finance’s
most
influential conference brands—from Bermuda to Wyoming to London.

Case Study: Producing a Global Event Series for SALT

Client: SALT
Event: Finance / Fintech / Crypto Conferences
Scope: Full Production Partner

The Challenge

SALT is one of the most recognized brands in finance and alternative investments. Founded by Anthony Scaramucci in 2009, the organization produces invitation-only conferences that bring together hedge fund managers, crypto executives, policymakers, and global thought leaders. Media outlets have called SALT events “the Super Bowl of hedge funds” (CNBC) and “one of Wall Street’s most prominent gatherings” (New York Times).

In recent years, SALT expanded from its flagship Las Vegas and New York events into a truly global portfolio—including three distinctive events that each present unique production challenges:

Bermuda Digital Finance Forum — A new event on a remote island with limited local technical resources and crew availability.

Wyoming Blockchain Symposium — A high-profile gathering in Jackson Hole, strategically timed against the Federal Reserve’s annual symposium, requiring equipment and crew transported from across the country.

SALT London — SALT’s first UK event, held in a brand-new venue (the former US Embassy) with all the logistical complications that come with an untested space.

SALT needed a production partner who could deliver consistent, high-quality technical execution across all three locations—while adapting to wildly different venues, regulations, and local constraints.

The Solution

Choyce Creative’s relationship with SALT began through work with iConnections, another client in the alternative investments space. The team was brought in to manage production for the co-branded SALT iConnections New York events in 2023 and 2024. Performance on those events led SALT to retain Choyce Creative as their production partner for their entire global event portfolio.

The scope includes all technical requirements, audio-visual design and planning, content creation for social media, stage graphics and signage, and full on-site execution. Choyce Creative isn’t a vendor handling one piece of the puzzle—it’s an embedded partner responsible for end-to-end technical production.

Event Breakdown

Bermuda Digital Finance Forum

Bermuda’s remote location presented the biggest constraint: extremely limited technical resources and crew availability on-island. Choyce Creative right-sized the team to just two people—Matt, the founder, and stage manager Luke—keeping the operation lean while still delivering professional-grade production. The event featured large LED walls, multi-camera livestreaming, and full wireless audio support for panel discussions, all executed at venues across downtown Hamilton including the Hamilton Princess Hotel.

Wyoming Blockchain Symposium

Jackson Hole offered more flexibility than Bermuda but still required transporting equipment and crew from other parts of the country to the Four Seasons Resort. The larger team included producer/show caller Alex, stage manager Luke, and a full video crew for filming and livestreaming content featuring speakers like SEC Chairman Paul Atkins and Senator Cynthia Lummis.

Challenge solved: The venue quoted extremely high internet costs that would have strained the budget. Choyce Creative designed, built, and deployed a custom satellite internet solution, providing rock-solid coverage for staff and attendees throughout the entire event—at a fraction of the venue’s pricing.

SALT London

London, being a major city, offered easier access to crew and equipment. But The Chancery Rosewood—the newly converted former US Embassy—had just opened, which introduced a different set of challenges: untested load-in procedures, unknown venue quirks, and coordination with a property still finding its operational rhythm.

Challenge solved: A gala event the night before the sessions meant the team was stuck with an overnight load-in. The crew—Alex (producer), Luke (stage manager), Bryan (motion design/video), and Emma (London-based project manager)—coordinated with the outgoing event, the venue, and vendors to ensure everyone could work together seamlessly. The team was ready for a 9am show time the next morning.

Creative & Content

Beyond technical production, Choyce Creative handles all visual content creation for SALT events. The team designed unique creative themes representing each location—Bermuda’s island aesthetic, Wyoming’s Western character, London’s historic sophistication—while maintaining a consistent overall format across the brand. Each event feels distinct, but unmistakably part of the SALT family.

This includes speaker title cards, animated stage backgrounds, venue signage, social media assets, and all branded elements throughout each event space. Our motion designer Bryan creates custom content that elevates the on-stage experience and reinforces SALT’s premium positioning in the market.

Technical Consistency Across Continents

Despite the dramatic differences in location—a Bermuda hotel, a Wyoming resort, a historic London landmark—Choyce Creative delivers a consistent technical standard at every event. Each production features large LED walls for scenic and graphics content, multi-camera video for livestreaming, professional audio with extensive wireless microphone support for panels, and stage lighting with room accents.

Whether an attendee is watching a fireside chat with the SEC Chairman in Jackson Hole or a keynote from former Prime Minister Tony Blair in London, they experience the same level of production quality.

The Results

The partnership with SALT has produced tangible outcomes:

Zero technical disasters in front of audiences — The team keeps things smooth and handles problems before they become visible to attendees or speakers.

Positive feedback from SALT leadership and attendees — The events consistently deliver the premium experience that SALT’s high-profile audience expects.

New client referrals — Other organizations have reached out to work with us specifically because of our SALT work.

Year-over-year retention and expanded scope — SALT has continued to expand our partnership across their growing global event portfolio.

Matt is a rockstar not just at A/V and event production, but entrepreneurial problem-solving around a range of event-related services. I can't recommend his services highly enough.

Why It Works

Managing a series of events around the world is a significant undertaking—especially when two of them are brand new. But it comes down to three things: experience, a solid team, and trusted vendors who can provide support in any location.

Choyce Creative also serves as careful stewards of client budgets. Logistics get tricky and costs can escalate quickly with international events. The team does as much as possible without spending more than needed—whether that means building a custom satellite internet solution instead of paying venue rates, or right-sizing crew to match each event’s actual requirements.

Most importantly, Choyce Creative doesn’t operate like a big agency. SALT has referred to Matt as a “de facto member of the SALT team.” That’s the relationship Choyce Creative builds with every client: senior-level expertise and hands-on execution, delivered by people who care about your event as much as you do.
